Description
This small rainforest tree is regarded as primitive, exhibiting primitive plant features. Its 3 petalled flowers are produced on the trunk and branches and are probably beetle pollinated. Pseuduvaria froggattii is endemic to the Wet Tropics and has a limited distribution, occurring between Bloomfield and Kuranda.
Cultivation
This plant prefers moist, well-drained soil, in a semi shaded/shaded position and can be propagated from fresh seed. It grows to about 10m in cultivation and requires protection when young.
